F-PLUS (a violin, clarinet, and percussion trio) is committed to collaborating with today’s most exciting composers to establish a diverse repertoire for their unique instrumentation. Since their founding in 2016, F-PLUS has created a repertoire of over 30 pieces for violin, clarinet, and percussion repertoire, working with such composers as Timo Andres, Matthew Barnson, Jessie Montgomery, and Roger Zare. Recent engagements include the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, Constellation Chicago, the Chicago Poetry Foundation, and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Committed to education, F-PLUS has held numerous university residencies across the country, including Duke University, Stony Brook University, Washington University in St. Louis, Cincinnati Conservatory, and Grand Valley State University.

Established in New York City in 1998, ETHEL quickly earned a reputation as one of America’s most adventurous string quartets. 20 years later, the band continues to set the standard for contemporary concert music. Known for its enlivened playing, blending uptown, conservatory musicianship with downtown genre-crossing, ETHEL has been described as “indefatigable and eclectic” (The New York Times), “vital and brilliant” (The New Yorker), and “infectiously visceral” (Pitchfork).

Contemporaneous is an ensemble of 22 musicians whose mission is to bring to life the music of now. Recognized for a “ferocious, focused performance” (The New York Times) and for its “captivating and whole-hearted commitment” (I Care If You Listen), Contemporaneous performs and promotes the most exciting work of living composers through innovative concerts, commissions, recordings, and educational programs.
Based in New York City and active throughout the United States, Contemporaneous has been presented by such institutions as Lincoln Center, Park Avenue Armory, PROTOTYPE Festival, Merkin Concert Hall, MATA Festival, St. Ann’s Warehouse, and Bang on a Can and has worked with such artists as David Byrne, Donnacha Dennehy, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Dawn Upshaw, and Julia Wolfe.

Called “contemporary chamber trailblazers” by the Boston Globe, Hub New Music — comprised of flute, clarinet, violin, and cello — is forging new pathways in 21st-century repertoire. Through creative programming and ambitious commissioning projects, the quartet of “intrepids” (WQXR) celebrates the fluidity and diversity of today’s classical music landscape. Its performances have been described as “gobsmacking” (Cleveland Classical) and “innovative” (WBUR).
